Round Table: "Precedent Names in Modern Communicative Practices"
The study of precedent names is a significant area of modern linguistics, as these units reflect not only linguistic processes but also the cultural characteristics of the society in which they operate. Of particular research interest is the use of precedent names in modern communicative practices, a significant portion of which unfolds in the digital environment. In new communicative contexts, familiar precedent names undergo various transformations: they are reinterpreted, acquire new, often ironic, connotations of meaning, and are used in unusual functions and contexts. Furthermore, the digital environment offers ample opportunities for the creation of new precedent names, which are quickly becoming part of the communicative repertoire of modern society.
