Jean-Marc Dewaele does research on individual differences in psycholinguistic, sociolinguistic, pragmatic, psychological and emotional variables in SLA and Multilingualism. He won the Equality and Diversity Research Award from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (2013) and the Robert Gardner Award for Excellence in L2 and Bilingualism research from IALSP in 2016.

President of GMF (Foreign Language Teachers of Germany) till 2012.
Teaching and research interests: General didactics and Foreign languages teaching methodology, research and development of teaching materials, mental lexicon and grammar at Language classes.

Nathan Carr
Dr. Nathan Carr is Professor of TESOL at California State University, Fullerton.
He received his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at UCLA with a focus on language assessment.
Professor Carr’s research interests are eclectic but focus on language assessment, particularly validation, assessment literacy training, computer-based testing, automated scoring, rating scale use and development, and test task characteristics. He is the author of Designing and Analyzing Language Tests , published in 2011 by Oxford University Press. He served a Fulbright Fellow in Kazakhstan in 2017, and has served as a U.S. State Department English Language Specialist in Azerbaijan, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
